# How To Upload Apps To The LG Store

> Submitting apps to the LG Store is a detailed process. This guide will help you submit your application efficiently to minimize delays or rejections.

### Prerequisites

* ✅ [Valid LG developer account](https://seller.lgappstv.com/seller/main/Main.lge).
* ✅ IPK file ready for upload.
* ✅ App assets prepared (icon, screenshots, splash screen).
* ✅ Bundle ID matching your Bright SDK dashboard app ID.

  <Step title="Create New App" titleSize="h3">
    1. Log in to your [LG developer account](https://us.lgaccount.com/login/sign_in?country=US\&svcCode=SVC301).
    2. Navigate to **Applications** from the left menu bar.
    3. Click **+ CREATE APP** button.

  <Step title="Set App ID" titleSize="h3">
    **Understanding App IDs:**

    * Your Bundle ID: `com.mycompany.tetris`.
    * Bright SDK App ID: `webos_com.mycompany.tetris`.

    <Note>
      **Important:** Enter only your bundle ID (e.g., `com.mycompany.tetris`), NOT the Bright SDK ID.
    </Note>

    **Steps:**

    1. Enter your bundle ID in the App ID field.
    2. Click Confirm.

  <Step title="Select Service Platform" titleSize="h3">
    1. Select **WebOS**.
    2. Do `NOT` select "NetCast".
    3. Click Done.

    A drop-down will appear after clicking Done.

  <Step title="Upload IPK File" titleSize="h3">
    **First Upload:**

    1. Click File Upload.

    2. A pop-up will appear - Click Yes.
    3. Click Add File.

    4. Select your IPK file.

    <Note>
      A message may appear: *"If you want to update files or file information that you have already registered, click the Modify button."*

    **Configure for UHD Devices (1920x1080):**

    1. In the Select Service drop-down: Choose 2020 and later (version 5.0.0 will auto-update).
    2. In the Resolution drop-down: Choose 1920,1080 : (UHD device).
    3. Click Save.

    **Configure for HD Devices (1280x720):**

    1. Upload the same IPK file again.
    2. In the Select Service drop-down: Choose 2020 and later (version 5.0.0 will auto-update).
    3. In the Resolution drop-down: Choose 1280,720.
    4. Click Save.

  <Step title="Images Page" titleSize="h3">
    **App Icon Image:**

    **Requirements:**

    1. Size: 400x400 pixels.
    2. Must have a solid color border to blend with LG UI elements.

    **Steps:**

    1. Upload your icon image.
    2. If not automatically updated, manually upload.

    **App Tile Color:**

    1. Click on the icon picture.
    2. Click on the picture's border to match the color.
    3. Click OK.

    **Screenshot Images:** Upload at least 3 screenshots.

    **Requirements:**

    * Recommended Size: 1920x1080 or 1280x720 pixels (Square Type Only).
    * Available Formats: JPG, PNG (Max 5MB each).

    **Splash Screen Background Image:**

    **Requirements:**

    * Recommended Size: 1920x1080 pixels.
    * Available Formats: JPG, PNG (Max 10MB).

  <Step title="Service Country Info" titleSize="h3">
    **Select App Service Countries:** Choose all countries EXCEPT:

    * Iran
    * Iraq
    * Syrian Arab Republic
    * Lebanon
    * Occupied Palestinian Territory
    * Democratic Republic of the Congo
    * Korea
    * Cuba
    * Sudan
    * KR\_Others (in "others" section)

    **Select App Service Languages:**

    1. Select English.
    2. Click the arrow pointing right (→).
    3. Click Save.

  <Step title="Display Info" titleSize="h3">
    **Set Default Display on TV:**

    1. English (Default) App Description: Write a short app description.

    **Set Display Other Service Languages:**

    1. Add additional languages if needed.
    2. Click Save.

  <Step title="Service Info" titleSize="h3">
    **Set App Category:**

    1. First drop-down: Choose Game.
    2. Second drop-down: Choose the appropriate subcategory for your game.

    **Set App Version:** Enter your version number (e.g., 1.0.0 for first release, or your new version number).

    **Set App Rating:** Click the appropriate age group/audience.

    For Brazil:

    1. Choose Content Rating Self-Check option.
    2. Click Assessment of Content Rating.
    3. Go through each section carefully and tick yes/no.
    4. Click Complete.

    **Set Content Rating:** Question: Does the app contain adult content/materials?\
    Answer: No.

    **Enter Tag Keywords:**

    **Guidelines:**

    * Enter keywords to help users search for your app.
    * Insert spaces between words for multiple keywords (e.g., "car game").
    * Do NOT use special characters - they may cause system errors.

    **Enter Contact Seller Information:**

    1. Enter an email address.
    2. Click Save.

    **Regarding the collection of data information within the app:** Starting August 2024, LG requires developers to fill in a **privacy questionnaire** for their apps (same practices used in other app stores e.g. AppStore, Amazon, and Google Play).

    It is important to note that Bright SDK does not collect any personal information that can identify or track your users. However, it collects the IP address and performs some crash/performance analytics. Therefore, when you submit an app to the LG Appstore with Bright SDK, in addition to any privacy answers you provide in the questionnaire, please use the following [LG privacy questionnaire](https://docs.bright-sdk.com/technical-implementation/LG-WebOS-SDK).

  <Step title="Feature Info" titleSize="h3">
    **Check Device Requirement(s):**

    1. Choose None.
    2. Click Save.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Test Info" titleSize="h3">
    **Enter Reference E-mail (for QA Results):** Enter your email address to receive App QA results (Max 5 addresses).

    **Upload UX Scenario File (Max 3ea):** Purpose: Upload UX Scenario files for App QA

    **Requirements:**

    * Available Formats: JPG, PNG, PDF, DOC, PPT, XLS, ZIP, XLSX (Max 10MB).

    **Steps:**

    1. Download the UX Scenario template.
    2. Fill it with your app information.
    3. Upload the completed file.

    </Note>

    **Enter Note for Tester:**

    1. Choose "Other information" option.
    2. Write: *"Thanks for reviewing this app"*.

    **Test Account/Password (Max 5ea):** Enter: *Not applicable*.

    **Voucher Code:** Enter: *Not applicable*.

    **Additional Settings:**

    * Enter Test IPK File or Test URL: Skip this section.
    * Select use Geo IP Block: No.
    * Select use Billing: Not applicable.
    * Select use In-App Ad: Not applicable.
    * Select Player Specification: Not applicable.

    Click Save.

  <Step title="Self-Check List" titleSize="h3">
    **Complete the Self-Check List:**

    1. Click "All Pass".
    2. For the following items, change to N/A: 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 41, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52.

    **Submit Your App:**

    1. Click Submit.
    2. In the pop-up: Click Yes.
    3. Tick "I agree" for all agreements.
